Chairman Mark Bardsley Secretary John Dearing 01726 844368

PROBUS is a Retired Professional and Business Men’s Club where those who have had a measure of responsibility in such fields as commerce, education, industry and government get together in their retirement in a social environment.

Probus clubs are autonomous and their activities vary considerably. The Probus Club of St. Austell is one of the oldest having been founded in 1970. It has over fifty members most of whom are active and meets on the first Wednesday in each month at the Britannia Inn for a lunch followed by a short presentation by a guest speaker.
Occasional additional events are organised including ladies’ luncheons and trips out. Members’ costs of belonging are kept to a minimum although the Club does make a contribution to guest speakers’ nominated charities.
Although membership is by invitation we welcome approaches from anyone who meets the criteria. Just drop us an email on the Contact Form or call the Secretary and we will arrange for a member of the Committee to meet up with you.

Our delayed special anniversary successfully took place on Wednesday 6th July with some sixty members and partners enjoying a splendid lunch. A gallery of pictures taken by Alan Grigg is here.
